The HKS 2jzgte/1jzgte adjustable cam gear is one the highest-quality adjustable cam gears on the market. Designed to be used as either an intake or exhaust cam, this lightweight cam gear is made from super light weight duralumin (A2014). This aluminum alloy is one of the strongest aircraft grade alloys available. The HKS adjustable cam gear utilizes nickel plating on the gear section surface to substantially increase hardness and anti-frictional properties. The main purpose of the HKS adjustable cam gear is to maximize the performance of aftermarket camshafts with higher duration and lift. Precise valve timing can be adjusted and set within the range of ± 20° along a Vernier scale of 2° intervals. Each interval index is laser-etched into the Duralumin and "A" (advance) and "R" (retard) directional markers are also laser-etched on to the cam gear face.
NOTE: This will not work or replace the VVT-i cam gear.
