We are proud to announce the release of our Mk3 Toyota Supra fire extinguisher bracket kit. Our kit comes with everything needed to mount a 2.5lb 3" diameter fire extinguisher to the passenger seat bolt mounts on LHD Mk3 Supras. Our high-quality plasma cut steel bracket was designed to be super sturdy and lightweight. The bracket itself weighs 21oz yet maintains strength due to the speed holes that are cut in it. After being plasma cut and bent to its final shape it is then powder coated black for durability. Our design is meant to be used with the stock seats however since it mounts to the seat frame bolt holes it may work with aftermarket seats.
We include the mount bracket, offroad black extinguisher quick-release mount, spacers, 2 countersunk bolts with lock nuts, and 2 extended length grade 10.9 steel seat bolts. It is recommended that our kit be used with the H3R Performance HalGuard HG250 2.5lb fire extinguisher. Most 2.5lb 3-3.25" diameter fire extinguishers should mount to the universal offroad quick-release extinguisher mount. A fire extinguisher and 2 hose clamps are NOT INCLUDED!
Our kit includes 2 spacers. Most 86.5-87 Mk3 Toyota Supras with the older style seat mount will only require the included thin spacers under each mount. The car used in the pictures is a 1987 Turbo and only requires one thin spacer under each mount side. The updated seat designs after 1988 with the newer style seat mount, will require one thin spacer under the left side and one thick spacer under the right side (the right mounting bolt will be under a plastic cover). Please order the correct mount kit for your car so that we can include the correct spacers! Our design allows the seat to still move forward with the HalGuard HG250 fire extinguisher in place however seat movement will be limited to about 2/3rds of the original movement due to the extinguisher. Most 3" diameter extinguishers should still fit correctly.
It is not safe to place a fire extinguisher inside of a car and not have it mounted. It will become a lethal projectile during a car accident if it is not mounted correctly. This product is not intended to replace a race car fire extinguisher system.
