This is a Toyota OEM 3sgte front main seal and we recommend replacing this seal whenever doing a timing belt replacement on a 3sgte engine. This seal is somewhat more labor intensive to replace as it requires removing the timing belt and crank sprocket, so we only use Toyota OEM front main seals because they are the best quality. This front main seal will work with Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 3sgte engines. Be weary of cheaper, inferior quality seals that are sometimes marketed as OEM, as they have been known to leak!
